Start with an audience problem
Claude Instagram skills are most useful when the brief contains something concrete: a question a customer asked, an awkward step in a workflow or a result you can actually demonstrate. A vague instruction to make a viral reel leaves the important editorial decisions to the model. Write down what the viewer should understand or do after watching.
Install and describe your voice
Jake Schincariol’s MIT-licensed Instagram pack supplies 13 skills. Follow the installation commands in the linked setup guide, then complete the voice template. Include phrases you naturally say, a few examples from your own work and words you would never use. The template gives the draft a more useful starting point than a generic request for an energetic tone.
Compare hooks before recording
Ask /ig-reel for several hooks and a timed beat sheet for one idea. Choose the opening that makes the most specific, defensible promise. A hook score can help compare wording, but it cannot guarantee reach. Read the script aloud and remove anything that is hard to say naturally.
ONE TACTIC A WEEK
Use the beat sheet to plan the edit
Attach a real screenshot, demonstration or clear diagram to each important claim. Record those inserts before assembling the cut. A scene should explain the words being spoken, not just decorate them. Keep the reference material, factual checks and source links next to the script so revisions remain consistent.
Review the caption and delivery promise
Use /ig-caption to prepare the post text. Check its opening, the single call to action and any link promise. The pack writes drafts; it does not connect your account or run an automatic comment bot. If your caption promises a guide after a keyword comment, verify that separate delivery workflow before the reel goes out.
Keep a small record of the outcome
After publishing, save the final hook, topic and actual results. Use those observations to improve the next brief. One carefully reviewed reel teaches you more about your audience than a large batch of interchangeable drafts. The setup guide below contains the commands and prompts for the first run.
