Claude skills for LinkedIn are the fastest way to turn a general chatbot into a LinkedIn content system, because out of the box Claude knows nothing about your voice, your niche or your audience. The reel below sorts 27 free installs (skills, plugins and MCP servers) into five folders by the job they do: your voice, ideas, writing, visuals and tools. 22 are open source on GitHub, 4 come from Anthropic and one, custom Styles, is already built into Claude. The repos, licences and star counts were checked on 27 October 2026, and every install command is copied from each repo's own README on the free guide.
Why Claude needs skills before it is any good at LinkedIn
A skill only changes how Claude writes and works. An MCP server connects Claude to another app, such as your browser, Notion or LinkedIn itself. Neither ships with Claude, which is why a plain prompt for a LinkedIn post comes back generic: no knowledge of your past posts, no research on what your niche discussed this month, no graphic to go with it. The 27 installs in the reel are the free pieces that fill each of those gaps, and sorting them by job makes it obvious which one you are missing.
Folder 1: your voice, so posts sound like you
Six installs in this folder. humanizer cleans the AI tells (stock phrases, rule-of-three lists, em-dash habits) out of a draft. skill-creator, from Anthropic's example-skills plugin, builds a custom skill from your best posts so your voice becomes reusable. copy-editing line-edits an existing draft and product-marketing writes down who you help and how you talk about it once, so every other skill uses it. anti-ai-writing audits a draft for lines that read machine-made. Custom styles is the one built into Claude: upload a few of your posts under Create & edit styles and Claude writes in that tone on demand.
Folder 2: ideas, so you know what to post next
last30days researches a topic across Reddit, X, YouTube, Hacker News and the web and sums up what people said in the last 30 days. content-strategy plans your pillars and topics, customer-research mines interviews, reviews and support tickets for pain points, and competitor-profiling profiles a competitor from their URL. Two MCP servers round out the folder: Exa MCP for AI-built web search and Firecrawl MCP, which scrapes any page into clean text and needs a Firecrawl API key with a free tier.
Folder 3: writing, the post itself
social writes LinkedIn posts, carousels and threads while avoiding the usual AI tells. viral-hooks writes or audits the first line when it feels flat, and storytelling keeps readers going after the hook. copywriting sharpens offers, headlines and calls to action, and marketing-psychology applies persuasion principles to a draft. The workflow the reel shows chains these with the other folders: last30days finds the conversation, content-strategy picks the angle, social drafts, humanizer strips the AI tells and canvas-design makes the graphic.
ONE TACTIC A WEEK
Folder 4: visuals, graphics worth saving
canvas-design and frontend-design are both in Anthropic's example-skills plugin: one designs posters and graphics as PNG or PDF, the other gives anything Claude builds in HTML a real design direction. Impeccable is a design language that removes the generic AI look. HyperFrames renders HTML into video, which is how the animated infographic in the reel was made. Excalidraw MCP draws hand-drawn style diagrams right in the chat.
Folder 5: tools, linking Claude to your apps
Claude in Chrome lets Claude read pages and click through tasks in your browser and needs a paid Claude plan. LinkedIn MCP is an independent project, not made by LinkedIn, that reads profiles, companies, jobs and messages through your own logged-in session, so go easy and respect LinkedIn's terms. Apify MCP pulls posts and data with ready-made scrapers on a free account, Notion MCP keeps drafts and ideas in one place, and Postiz schedules posts to LinkedIn and other networks. Its open-source edition is free to self-host with Docker; Postiz Cloud is the paid hosted version.
How to install them without breaking anything
Commands that start with /plugin are typed inside Claude Code. Commands that start with npx, claude or uvx go in your terminal, and npx skills add needs Node.js while uvx needs uv. Read what each MCP server can access before you log in, because unlike a skill it can reach into another app. My advice from the reel: do not install all 27. Start with the folder that fixes your weakest step, run one post through it, and add the next folder only when that step is solid.
