Setup (Claude Code on your computer)

Claude Code needs a paid Claude plan (Pro or Max). Then either ask Claude Code to install it (prompt 1 below), or run:

Type /yt-script to start. If the skills folder did not exist when your session started, run /reload-skills.

Optional: copy templates/voice.md to ~/.claude/youtube/voice.md and describe your voice; every skill reads it.

As a plugin instead

Plugin commands are namespaced: /youtube-agent:yt-script.

On the free Claude plan

Free Claude plan: turn on Settings > Capabilities > Code execution, zip each skill folder and upload it under Customize > Skills. Note: skills that use a sibling folder's tool (chapters, viral, shorts, audit) break when uploaded one by one.

Three rules before you install

  1. Claude drafts, you publish. Nothing goes live unless you upload it.

  2. Borrow the structure, never the video. YouTube's inauthentic and reused content policies apply.

  3. Read the code first. It is one developer's repo with a single commit; pin it to commit a2feb21. Collect video data with the official YouTube Data API, not scrapers (YouTube's Terms forbid automated access).

Known limit: the title linter only handles English; Arabic titles break it (fix pending in PR #43).
